Grades 3-4: General Life Science
General Life Science for Grades 3-4 covers topics appropriate for grade level with instruction and hands-on lab activities during each weekly class. Students are not assigned a textbook at this level. Supplemental information is sent home for students and parents.
Class topics for Grades 3-4 include Classifying Organisms, Exploring a Pond Community, Microscopes / Micro-organisms, Food Chain / Energy Pyramid, Population Changes, Living / Non-Living Factors, Plants, Seeds, Vegetative Reproduction, Animal Habitats, How Animals Eat, Animal Behavior and Defense, Dinosaurs, the Cell, Senses, Bones, Muscles, Heart, Lungs, Digestion, Nerves, and more!
All science is taught from a creationist, Christian, Biblical worldview while making students aware of other worldviews. The objective is to teach students to see the Hand of the Creator in all of nature. Classes are instructional, while stressing hands-on lab activities during each class.
TIMES OFFERED
Tuesdays in Longwood - 2:30 to 4:00 PM
Tuesday classes meet at WaterStone Church, 900 North Street, Longwood 32750 (between Highway 427 and Palm Springs Drive). Weekly classes for grades 3-8 meet for one and a half hours and run from August 15, 2017 through May 8, 2018.
SUPPLY LIST FOR GRADES 3-4:
Three-ring binder with cover sheet from handbook in front sleeve and master calendar in back sleeve.
Zippered pencil pouch placed in notebook rings to hold the following items:
- Colored pencils. We do not use markers or crayons in science class.
- Two mechanical pencils and extra lead. We do not use ink in science class.
- Compass to draw circles.
- Metric ruler. Small one fits in pencil pouch. If unavailable, large one that fits into notebook rings is fine.
Lined notebook paper.
Three dividers: Lab Sheets, Quizzes, and Miscellaneous or Misc.
Uniform. See Dress Code tab for details.
E-mail account. Much of our communication is by email. Student’s family must have an active email account and check it often, especially the day before class.

for science classes is $150 for a single student or $125 each for two or more students enrolling from the same family. Registration fee covers supplemental information, lab equipment, and lab supplies.
MONTHLY TUITION
Tuition for grades 3-8 is $75 per month or $750 per year per student. You may save $25 by making a single payment of $725 by the first class. Tuition is due on the first day of each month for ten months, August through May, and late on the 10th. A $5 per student late fee is due for each tuition payment that is not made by the 10th of the month. Please make checks payable to Science Partners. Tuition may be turned in during class or mailed to Science Partners, 343 Allison Ave, Longwood, FL 32750.
