Class Dress Code

Science Class Dress Code

In order to dress for modesty, mobility, and safety, science students are required to wear a uniform that consists of:

1.  SHIRT: Navy polo shirt (tucked in) with Science Partners logo from Lands’ End. Details for ordering from Lands' End are below.  You may want to check with Science Partners before you order a shirt. We often have used shirts for $5 that we have purchased from students who have outgrown them, moved away, etc.

2. PANTS: Khaki / tan colored shorts or long pants (no “hip-huggers” or “low riders”). Shorts must come close to the knee. Girls may also wear Capri pants (no skirts, skorts, culottes, dresses, or jumpers). Pants may be purchased from Lands’ End, but that is not required. Many local stores have “uniform” lines of clothing where you may purchase pants. Please make sure they are “plain” with no extra buckles, bows, etc.

3. SHOES: Lace up, closed toe, and closed heel shoes (such as tennis or athletic shoes). No skate shoes are allowed.

4. HEAD WEAR:   No hats, caps, and other head coverings are permitted in science class. They are distracting, they restrict sight, and they are potentially dangerous in the lab setting.

NOTE FOR PINE RIDGE STUDENTS:
Tuesday and Wednesday Humphreys Junior High students may wear HJH uniforms that meet Science Partners dress code.  (See above.) Shirt must be “polo” type, preferably navy (tucked in). Pants or shorts must be khaki / tan colored (no skirts, skorts, culottes, dresses, or jumpers). Shoes must be lace up, closed toe, and closed heel (such as tennis or athletic shoes). No skate shoes or head coverings are allowed.

1. For phone orders, call 1-800-469-2222 and use Science Partners’ Preferred School and Logo numbers.
2. For online orders, go to www.landsend.com/school.
     - Select the item, color and size.
     - Enter your Preferred School number in the box labeled “Preferred School Program."
     - Select the logo from the drop-down menu (school name with animals).
     - If you are asked to fill in a city for Science Partners, it is Longwood (not Orlando).
     - Click 'Add to Bag'
