Noah's Ark and the Worldwide Flood
The story of Noah’s ark and flood has been told for centuries with variations in cultures all over the world. Is this story really true? Could one man really build a boat that big? How could all the animals fit on the ark?
What about dinosaurs? Did the flood destroy every living thing? Was it global? Where did the water come from – and where did it go? Is there any evidence in the earth of a worldwide flood? And what does all this mean to me today? Find answers to these and other questions during this workshop that includes a visual presentation, a scale model of the ark, crafts, and a game.
Bill and Merilee Clifton, creationists, authors, Florida Master Naturalists, and science educators will help your group learn about the wonderfully designed world all around us. The Cliftons will personally lead your group in each workshop providing a unique and fascinating perspective of God’s great design in Creation.
SCHEDULING
You have the option of scheduling a single workshop or you may schedule TWO workshops (same or different content) ON THE SAME DAY. If you schedule two workshops, participants may come to either one or both of the workshops. Registration deadline for minimum number of paying participants is usually four weeks before the scheduled activity.
Minimum number for each workshop:40
Maximum number for each workshop: 80
REGISTRATION FEES
Cost for one workshop: $7.50 for child or adult, 5 years and up; free for 4 years and under.
Minimum charge for one workshop: $300 (if you have less than 40 participants).
Cost for two workshops:$12.50 for child or adult, 5 years and up; free for 4 years and under.
Minimum charge for two workshops on the same day: $500 (if you have less than 80 participants).
If scheduling two workshops on the same day, have participants bring lunch. We will have a morning workshop, break for lunch, and then have an afternoon workshop.
TRAVEL EXPENSES
Science Partners' home office is in Longwood, FL, north of Orlando. If your workshop site is 50 miles or less round-trip, there is no mileage charge. If your site is over 50 miles round-trip, the charge is $ .50 per mile for the amount OVER 50 miles. Your group may choose to pay the mileage expense separately or add enough to your registration fee per person to cover the amount. Please contact Science Partners if your location will involve air travel or overnight stays.
BEGIN YOUR ADVENTURE
Creation Adventure workshops are usually scheduled on Thursdays or Fridays, but there are a limited number of other open dates listed on the web site calendar. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays are generally unavailable due to weekly homeschool science classes. One Friday each month is also unavailable due to monthly high school Marine Science at SeaWorld classes.
