Science Philosophy: All science is taught from a creationist, biblical worldview while making students aware of other worldviews. The objective is to teach students to see the Hand of the Creator in all of nature. Classes are instructional, while stressing hands-on lab activities. Science Partners students will progress through the Life, Physical, Earth, and Marine Sciences, covering scientific information in a sequence similar to public and private schools. Students in grades 3-8 will study Life and Biological Sciences on Track A and Earth or Physical Sciences on Track B, alternating each year at grade level. Biology and Marine Science at SeaWorld are offered each year for high school students. Biology is a prerequisite for Marine Science at SeaWorld.
2008-2009 Track B classes for grades 3-8 and Biology for grades 9-12 meet weekly for 1½ hours. You may choose from three days and two locations. If a student misses a weekly class, he or she may be able to make the class up on another day during the same week. Call to check on availability. Marine Science classes for grades 10-12 meet monthly for four hours at SeaWorld. You may choose between two time periods. High school biology is a prerequisite. (See below for more information.)
REGISTRATION FEE for science classes is $150 for a single weekly student enrolling; $125 for each weekly student with siblings enrolling; and $125 for monthly Marine Science at SeaWorld students. This fee covers use of textbook (grades 5-12), lab equipment, supplies, and Answers magazine (one per family). For marine science students, it also includes presentations, field trips, and SeaWorld behind-the-scenes activities.
MONTHLY TUITION payments are due on the first class day of each month for ten months, August through May. Tuition is $65 per month or $650 per year per student. You may save $25 by making a single tuition payment of $625 by the first class. A $5 per student late fee is due for each monthly tuition payment that is not made within a week of the due date. Please make checks payable to Science Partners. Tuition may be turned in during class or mailed.

MONDAYS - LONGWOOD: Monday classes for grades 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-12 (Biology) meet at First Baptist Church of Altamonte Springs, 900 North Street, Longwood 32750 (between Highway 427 and Palm Springs Drive). Open House will be at FBC/AS on Monday, August 11, at 7:00 PM. Weekly classes run from August 18, 2008 through May 4, 2009. PLEASE NOTE: The church is closed on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3. Longwood classes will meet on Thursday, Sept. 6, that week.
TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS - ORLANDO: Tuesday and Wednesday classes for grades 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-12 (Biology) meet at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church, 3900 South Hiawassee Road, Orlando 32835 (across from Turkey Lake Park, four miles south of Highway 408 / East-West Expressway). Open House will be at PRPC on Friday, August 8, at 7:00 PM. Weekly classes run from August 19/20, 2008 through May 5/6, 2009. Classes are scheduled to coordinate with other homeschool classes offered by Pine Ridge Home Educators. (See www.prhe.net for information on other classes.)
FRIDAYS - SEAWORLD: Friday marine science classes for 10-12 graders meet once a month at SeaWorld, 7007 SeaWorld Drive, Orlando 32821. High school biology is a prerequisite. Open House will be at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church (3900 South Hiawassee Road, Orlando 32835, across from Turkey Lake Park, four miles south of Highway 408 / East-West Expressway) on Friday, August 8, at 5:00 PM. Monthly classes run from August through May (10 classes). You may choose from two different time periods: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM or 2:00 - 6:00 PM.

In order to dress for modesty, mobility, and safety, science students are required to wear a uniform. It consists of:
1. SHIRT: Navy polo shirt (tucked in) with Science Partners’ logo from Lands’ End. Click on link above for ordering information.
2.
PANTS: Khaki shorts or long pants (no “hip-huggers” or “low risers”). Shorts must come close to the knee. Girls may also wear Capri pants (no skirts, skorts, culottes, or jumpers). Pants may be purchased from Lands’ End, but that is not required. Many local stores have “uniform” lines of clothing where you may purchase pants. Please make sure they are “plain” with no extra buckles, bows, etc.3.
SHOES: Lace up, closed toe, and closed heel shoes. No skate shoes are allowed.PLEASE NOTE:
Tuesday and Wednesday Humphreys Junior High students may wear HJH uniforms that meet Science Partners’ dress code. (See above.) Shirt must be “polo” type, preferably navy (tucked in) and pants or shorts must be khaki colored (no skirts, skorts, culottes, or jumpers). Shoes must be lace up, closed toe, and closed heel. No skate shoes are allowed.
